Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) training
Employers covered by the AODA must train everyone who deals with the public on their behalf, and everyone who develops their customer service policies. This course covers what that training must include.
Who must be trained
Training must be given to every person who deals with members of the public on behalf of the employer, including employees, agents and volunteers, and to every person involved in developing the employer's policies, practices and procedures for providing goods and services. Many people who work for private companies that serve the public sector also need training.
Employers covered by the Act must also prepare a training policy and keep training records.
What's covered

- Communicating with people with various types of disability

- How to use assistive devices provided by the employer
- Helping a person with a disability access your goods or services
Who should attend
Anyone who deals with the public on behalf of an organization, or who helps develop its policies, practices and procedures for providing goods and services.
